Something to Share

This is just a quick update on a design project we have been working on.

It’s a small apartment in Melbourne and it was necessary that we install a simple yet effective means of offering some privacy for visiting friends.
Consequently the shoji fitted the bill.

The general theme is art-deco meets Japan style, in an explosion of moderation.

The views offered from the windows of the apartment are superb and it was important that this project carried a strong night-time elegance. With sweeping views across the city, it was not right to direct the attention away from the beautiful sights.

All-in-all the apartment has come up rather well and once the mirrored plush-back in the kitchen is complete ( Mondrian style incorporated here), it should be ready to occupy.

I will endeavour to post some further pics at a later stage to give an update on progress.
